Hours per week: 40 (fixed term contract - 1 year)

 

The Role

As the Registered Manager, you will manage all aspects of the Home’s daily operation, ensuring that the highest possible standard of care is provided in accordance with company policy and registration with the CQC, where residents are enabled to live with dignity and well-being. Residents and families are encouraged to contribute to the care planning process, and respect their choices, diversity and maintain their dignity at all times.

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for improving the CQC rating for the Home. You will head the Management Team comprised of the Deputy Manager, and the Administration Manager working alongside them. Given the wide diversification of duties, time management and the ability to prioritise are essential. The Home operates a computerised Care Management System, as well as time and attendance recording and appraisal systems, so knowledge of IT is a requirement.

As the Registered Manager, you will facilitate ongoing training, development and supervision of the healthcare team. A staff development programme operates, and all trained staff are required to keep up-to-date in accordance with the NMC Registration.

Job Requirements

As a Registered Care Home Manager, you will:

  • Be a Registered First Level General Nurse
  • Hold Registered Managers Award or equivalent
  • DBS CQC Authorisation
  • Have knowledge of Care Act 2014 Essential Standards of Quality and Safety and Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines
  • Have an understanding and empathy with the elderly
  • Have previous Home Management experience
  • Have previous MS care experience
